Support Groups
Monthly In person Support Groups
The SRO Support Groups are a safe place for women to come together to
deal with issues that impact their lives in an honest and realistic manner. Many of the problems our women
face are
serious and longstanding. These include
abusive (verbal,
physical, emotional) relationships, addiction, self-esteem issues and childhood trauma.
This group
which is facilitated by the CEO
provides
support and encouragement, the group
is committed to helping restore a sense of self-worth, respect,
and dignity to the
members, this increases the motivation to find one self.
Our Teen Support
Group is the beginning for us to put our Youth Programs in place.
We want a safe environment for teens to come together to speak about the
many issues they face daily. In this safe environment we have
adults who are devoted to making the teens feel comfortable and free to
express themselves and receive some direction to keep them on a positive
path.
We meet once a month to
come together
as one to offer support for one another facing different obstacles in each
of our lives, whether it’s negative or positive. We exchange ideas,
support each other
as well as supporting
the community, we
learn from one another, and help
each other personally and professionally. Through discussion groups and
meetings, members receive information about issues that affect their every
day lives.
